Ron has been in the financial services industry since 1983. Beginning in London, Ontario with Manufacturers’ Life where he was Rookie of the Year, he became one of the first true Life insurance brokers in Canada. He was a founding member of the ILIBC — Independent Life Insurance Brokers of Canada Association (now Independent Financial Brokers of Canada), and has been associated with leading edge financial product developers since 1984.

Specializing in business insurance, estate planning and investments, his unique skills are complimented by his associates and the research, marketing and service team they forge.

Ron first established his Sarnia practice, RJ Rau & Associates in the early 90s. Ron continues to update his product knowledge skill through continuing education programs. He also has authored articles for various publications.

Active in the business community, Ron served for many years as chair of both the Provincial and National Affairs and the Finance and Taxation committees in the London Chamber of Commerce and is currently a member of the Sarnia Chamber of Commerce. He is a recipient of the Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Business Achievement Award, and he is active in the community as a Charter Member and Past President of the Rotary Club.
